Hosted by the Hong Kong Sudoku Association. Eleven-year-old Zexuan Zheng of China took the world title, and John Gilling of the USA won the KenKen Founder’s Cup, contested by about 40 players from five age groups.

The Story of KenKen

KenKen was created in 2004 by a Japanese mathematics teacher, on a simple idea: children learn best when they discover solutions for themselves.
Today it is played by millions of people around the world, in classrooms, daily newspapers and competition halls, building logic, confidence, and a lifelong love of mathematics.
